The most recent interview given to Forbes magazine by Kanye West on his aspirations to run as a presidential candidate for the 2024 election, albeit the deadline for appealing is long overdue in some states, has been gaining traction from the mainstream media as being yet another bold move by the hip hop mogul among the slew of other statements made in the past weeks indicating his withdrawal of support for the republican party and it's chief Donald Trump. The president, however, displayed no qualms at all and furthered his assertion about Kanye West and himself being on the same page in an interview he gave to FOX News anchor Sean Hannity. "He is always going to be for us, and his wife is going to be for us," said president Donald Trump. This statement came from the president when he was inquired about Kanye West's statement to Forbes regarding "taking the red hat off", a not so subtle reference to Trump's MAGA caps. Kanye argued that his recent aspirations are no publicity stunts and he does plan to put together a campaign with the aid of his wife, Kim Kardashian, a Trump supporter herself. When asked about how he should attain the rights to run for president given he would have to run as an independent and procure the signed approval of certain key officials, Kanye argued with perhaps a most stunning revelation in that he contracted the COVID-19 virus, even though he did not get tested, and would use that as a leverage get himself ‘written in’.
